To prevent damage in shipping, We ship all of our prehung units knocked down and the frame requires reassembly on the site.  A prehung door has a frame and is hanging by its hinges when you purchase it. You obtain the entire package including the hardware you need to install the door. There are a few main parts to this type of entry door: jambs, hinges, sill, door shoe, and weather stripping.

Determining the door swing direction can be done by observing the way the door opens and the location of the handle and hinges. The door handing/swing refers to the direction in which the door opens. When viewing the door from the outside, whether it be from the exterior of the home or outside of the room, there are four different types of door swings to consider: Left Hand Inswing, Right Hand Inswing, Left Hand Outswing, and Right Hand Outswing.

Yes, it is possible, but not too much as the core is Hollow and there is only 3/4" hardwood available all around the door. We can trim the wid up to 1/2" (1/4" from each side)  Also cutting down the height is possible up to 2"   

Not every door is tested for Energy efficiency. If a product is tested, you should be able to find the test result on the product attachment on the product page. You can also request this information via a ticket

Typical door jamb sizes are : 4 9/16" for 2x4 frame with ½” drywall 5 1/2" for 2x4 frame with stucco or thick drywall 6 9/16" for 2x6 frame , or block wall(Consider a 1/16" tolerance )  Jamb width is the measurement of the wall thickness that the door unit will be fitting into, this includes any sheetrock or sheathing/siding that is on the outside as well.

All of our doors can be painted except for the doors made of knotty alder wood or knotty pine wood. on some doors, we offer factory paint as well. You should be able to see the available finishes on the product options.
